Literacy Through the Arts After School Program

 

 

 

 

 

Our goal is to increase time on reading and writing tasks to enhance the literacy skills of our students.
Our After School program takes place weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Students start the afternoon off with a healthy snack and are given help with their homework by the after school staff. The students are then sent to their classes; they enjoy dance class on Tuesdays and drawing class on Wednesdays. Literacy and computer classes work cooperatively on both days to motivate students to creatively express their ideas through various media.
