St. Joseph's School for the Deaf has greatly benefitted from our school volunteer program. Whether the volunteer is a student currently involved in a Deaf Studies Program, a parent or family member, we have creatively implemented the resources our volunteers offer. Our program strengthens school-community relations by providing a menu of opportunities for interested parents and community members to participate effectively in SJSD programs and activities.

School volunteers may assist teachers and staff to provide students with individualized instruction and enrichment activities thereby allowing the needs of students to be met more effectively.
