Better Speech and Hearing Month
In honor of Better Speech and Hearing Month, one of our amazing speech teachers, Tracy, created a special bulletin board celebrating what good communication means to our students. Each student drew their ideas—and with a little help from ChatGPT, we transformed those drawings into 3D renderings! We’re so proud of the creativity, imagination, and voices of our students. 📖✨ Today we were thrilled to welcome Haley Hartfeld, a Deaf author, to our school! Haley shared her powerful story and read her book about growing up with a cochlear implant. Camp Isola Bella
Camp Isola Bella is a summer camp in western Connecticut, hosted by the American School for the Deaf. There are still some spots available for both the Youth and Teen sessions this summer! Scholarships are also available to help support families in need. Please see the attached flyer for more details, and registration link below.
